Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are a full-service bakery specializing in custom desserts for all of your needs! Because all of the desserts we offer are custom made to order, we do not have a set menu. Chances are, if you want it, we can make it!

Please contact us directly for pricing. Pricing varies depending on the design elements, size and flavor, so it would not be practical to list pricing for every cake we are capable of doing.

  • Unfortunately, no. Our facility is not open to the public - all pick-up appointments are scheduled in advance. All the product we create has been commissioned for a specific client, we rarely have any extras available for sale. If you anticipate a craving or are planning a party, contact us to kickoff the ordering process.

  • Unfortunately, we are not an allergen-free facility and do not recommend consumption of our products for anyone that is allergic or intolerant to gluten, nuts, dairy or eggs. Everything we create contains butter and eggs. When nuts are used, we thoroughly clean our surfaces, equipment and tools in between projects to prevent cross contact - but the same equipment and facility is utilized. Our French Macaron shells are made with almond flour and are naturally gluten-free and most flavors would be a good choice for individuals choosing to limit their gluten intake.

  • You’ll need to clear a smooth, flat surface in your vehicle for your cake. This generally means the floor, trunk or back of your SUV. We do not recommend transporting your cake on your seats, as they are actually quite angled. Your cake, or any product containing buttercream, cannot be left in your vehicle during warm weather. Crank your AC as cold as possible and proceed directly to your destination. During the winter months, avoid placing your cake near your heater vents. Our buttercream contains pure butter, which will soften and melt under warm conditions. Drive with care - slow and steady. Avoid abrupt stops. Refrigerate any leftovers as soon as possible. We are not responsible for any damage to your cake once it has left our care. Pickup waivers may be required at the discretion of Baking Bad Cake Company.

  • The simple answer is to contact us as soon as you begin to plan your event and we’ll check our availability. Our Spring, Fall and Holiday seasons tend to book weeks, sometimes months, in advance.

For any custom cake orders, we require at least 2 weeks notice and strongly suggest as much lead time as possible. Your request may require additional tools or ingredients that we need to purchase or in-depth planning. We value quality over quantity and only take on a limited amount of detailed projects per week. For wedding orders- we suggest couples begin cake planning 6-9 months in advance.

  • Yes - First, we’ll assist you in choosing the correct size cake and then ask you to choose your flavors. Next, we’ll ask you to provide us with some inspiration to help guide your design in the right direction. It’s helpful to know what occasion the cake is for, if there is a specific color palette we should be matching, if any text should be included within the design and if you have any ideas you’d like us to include. We’ll then present some ideas for you to review. Please keep in mind that we do not copy the exact work of other cake artists.
